In order to support this growth, SPIE Oil & Gas Services is always seeking talented individuals to join its teams We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC in Qatar for a:SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER This is an opportunity for you to lead and be fully responsible and accountable for professional project coordination and management service covering assigned areas and scopes of the project execution, during feasibility studies including Pre-FEED works, Front End Engineering Design and EPIC Execution stagesYour main duties will be to:-• Support the Head project engineer for all the aspects of project and technical coordination and management for the assigned area of the project• Provide support to and delegates for the head project engineer• Integrator key project team and the senior project engineer is expected to be conversant across several functional areas of the project, to identify any deviations from the agreed project premises, and to keep the head project engineer informed.• Coordinate a team of multidiscipline engineers to achieve a cost effective design through timely resolution of the technical and engineering issues.• Input to project scopes, tenders, budgets, execution plans and follows up approvals.• Support gate approval, project execution plans, risk management, change management, commissioning and handover processes/procedures and related activities in order to ensure successful execution and timely completion of the project• Coordinate and ensure project quality plans/HSE plans/environment Management Plans Are in Place and Adhered throughout the Execution Phase.Ideally you will have Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or higher degree would be advantageous. You will have membership of a recognized professional engineering association (or institution) is preferable. You will have a minimum of 15 years' experience in project Engineering design in Oil & Gas Industry with an Oil & Gas Company or Consultant/Contractor, of which at least 10 years should have been in offshore Oil & Gas processing projects. You will have at least 8 years' should have been as a Senior Project Engineer in a major project with more than 5 years' as Senior Project Engineer in design of major projects in a reputable engineering consultant, EPIC Contractors or O&G Company. You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including Project. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English. You will preferably have previous work experience in Qatar or GCC country would be an advantage.
